Leah Antonio Pedro (2008) is a granddaughter of noted potter Frederica Antonio.  Frederica has been teaching her to make pottery and she is only16 years old!  Leah said this was the first bowl that she made and painted with bee-weed (Black).  It is an open bowl that is painted on the outside.  The designs are painted in a vertical and then horizontal manner and then the squares are filled in.  The little dots indicate that it is a corn design.  Leah said it took a lot of time to paint the piece, and there is nice precision for her first piece.  The bowl is signed on the bottom, “Leah Pedro”.  The last photo is of her holding the bowl.
