9"w x 4.5"h

$ 350.00

Anita Polacca (1928-2005?) was the daughter of Hopi potter Violet Huma.  She was from the First Mesa village of Sichomovi. She made pottery between 1940 and 2002.  This is a classic bowl that is coil-built and painted on the outside.  There are classic bird, rain, and feather designs.  The bowl was traditionally fired to create the blushes.  It is signed on the back, “Anita Polacca”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
