Fannie L. Polacca is a great-granddaughter of Nampeyo of Hano and a granddaughter of Fannie Nampeyo. Her father was Tom Polacca and she is a sister of Gary Nampeyo, Carla Claw, Delmar Polacca, and Elvira Naha. This plate is tightly painted. There are four Rabbit Sticks as the design. What is a Rabbit Stick? It is a Hopi hunting stick that is curved and thrown like a boomerang. However, it is thrown horizontally (like a frisbee). The last photo has a Hopi Rabbit Stick. There are additional cloud and rain designs painted onto the plate. The plate is signed, “Fannie L. Nampeyo”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
