Red Starr (Sioux) was married to Santa Clara potter Harriet Tafoya and learned to make Santa Clara pottery.  This bowl is fully polished red and etched with two bears.  There are two small bear paws on the sides, each inset with turquoise.  The mini seedpot has a Big Horn Sheep as the main design.  On the opposite side is a flower with an inset piece of turquoise.  Each piece is signed, “Red Starr” on the bottom.  Each is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
