Red Starr (Sioux) was married to Santa Clara potter Harriet Tafoya and learned to make Santa Clara pottery. This is a small fully polished red seedpot. There is an etched buffalo surrounded by feather designs on one side. The opposite side has feathers and an inset piece of malachite. It was fired red coloration. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Red Starr”.
