Red Starr (Sioux) was married to Santa Clara potter Harriet Tafoya and learned to make Santa Clara pottery.  This is a small fully polished red seedpot.  There is an etched goose surrounded by feathers on one side. The opposite side has feathers and an inset piece of malachinte.  It was fired a deep red coloration.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Red Starr”.
