Red Starr (Sioux) was married to Santa Clara potter Harriet Tafoya and learned to make Santa Clara pottery. This small water jar is fully polished. The jar has an etched feather design around the neck of the piece. There is an avanyu around the shoulder and a single inset piece of turquoise bead for the eye. The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed on the bottom, “Red Starr”.
