Cliff Roller is a son of noted potter Toni Roller. Each piece is coil built, carved, stone polished, and traditionally fired.  This jar is carved with 16 feathers around the neck.  Note the shape of the feathers, which have the rounded base.  This is much the same style as made famous by his mother, Toni.  The shoulder of the jar is deeply carved with a rain design.  The entire piece is fully polished and fired a deep black.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Cliff Roller”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  While these days Cliff makes very little pottery, each piece remains a statement to his skill as a potter!
