Toni Roller is known for her classic shapes and exquisite stone-polished pottery. A daughter of Margaret Tafoya, Toni has developed her own distinctive style of pottery. This bowl has a wide, sloping shoulder. It is fully polished and has four bear paws incised into the surface. The bear paw is a symbol of good luck where a bear leads the Pueblo story to water during a drought. It was made in 1989 and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Toni Roller”.
