This is one of the few wedding vases we have seen by Tonita Roybal  It is from the late 1920’s and very highly polished.  It has been fired with color variations from gunmetal to goldtone and deep black.  The coloration is simply stunning on this piece!   The design is a seed and terrace design on each side and then on the narrow side are tightly painted rain clouds.  The piece is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the bottom, “Tonita”.
