Tonita Roybal remains one of the great innovative names in San Ildefonso pottery.  This bowl is coil-built and fully polished.  There is no design it was fired to a deep black coloration.  It is one of the few plainware pieces we have had of her pottery!  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed, “Tonita + Juan” in the clay on the bottom.  Simple and elegant.
