Alisha Sanchez is a daughter-in-law of noted potter Carolyn Concho and is married to George Concho.  She learned to make pottery from George and Carolyn.  Each piece is coil built and she is known for her very tightly painted pottery. This plate has five interlocking rows creating a fine-line star design.  The piece has thin lines and there are sections highlighted with additional brown and green clay slips.  The charming surprise on the piece is on the back. There is a butterfly with a raised wing and highlighted with green clay.  The piece is signed, “Alisha Sanchez”.
