Elson Sekletstewa is from First Mesa in Hopi. This plate is made from native clay and is carved. There is an Eagle Dancer on one side and a Sun Katsina on the opposite side. They are separated by a shawl pattern. It is carved at various levels and painted with clay slips. It is signed, “Elson Sekletstewa”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
