Gwen Setalla is a daughter of noted potter Pauline Setalla and sister of Dee Setalla and Stetson Setalla.  This seedpot is coil-built and fully designed using bee-weed and clay slips.  The top has a turtle with a swirling parrot and dragonflies on the back.  It is surrounded by tadpoles.  On the sides are flute players with corn.  It is a complicated and striking piece.  The seedpot was traditionally fired.  It is signed on the back “Aas-Ku-Mana”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
