Stetson Setalla is a son of noted potter Pauline Setalla.  This large tile is fully polished on the front and the back.  It has a combination of Hopi style birds and bird tails.  Note the complex checkerboard pattern in the corner!  The piece is painted with bee-weed and a red and brown clay slip.  There is a strong flow of design on the tile.  It is signed on the back with his name and a rain cloud.
