Silas, Annette – Open Bowl with Rain Designs (1950s)

7.5"w x 3.5"h

$ 250.00

Annette Silas (1906-1984) began making pottery in the 1930s.  This bowl is coil-built, painted with bee-weed (black) and traditionally fired.  The bowl has four indentions on the rim.  The sides are painted with rain and cloud patterns.  It is an unusual piece and the only piece we have had of her pottery in the gallery.  It is signed on the bottom “Annette Silas”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
