Sisneros, Jerry – Wide Red Bowl with Avanyu

6"w x 2.25"h

$ 300.00

Jerry Sisneros learned to make pottery from his mother, Olaria Sisneros.  He was never prolific but created well-polished and intricately painted pieces.  This is a large piece of his pottery with a sharp shoulder and a nearly flat top.  It is painted red-on-red with an avanyu encircling the top.  Note the small rainclouds near the rim!  The painting leaves enough open polished space to reveal the highly polished surface.  The bowl is signed on the bottom, “Sisneros.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
