$ 450.00

Mary Small (b. 1940) is known for her traditional Jemez pottery.  It is not just her painting, that is distinctive, but the gray-colored clay that she uses is distinctive to her pottery.  This tall jar has a round body and a square neck.  On the sides are rainbows and stars. The neck has tightly painted flowers.  It is a striking design on a large jar.  The bottom of the jar is slipped with the red clay slip.  The bowl is signed on the bottom, “Mary Small”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
