Mary Small (b. 1940) is known for her traditional Jemez pottery.  It is not just her painting that is distinctive, but the gray clay she uses is distinctive to her pottery.  This is one of her wedding vases.  It has a sun design painted on each side.  There is a rainbow and rainclouds above the sun.  The piece has a striking coloration from the white, gray, and the firing.  It is signed on the bottom, “Mary Small”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
