This is a classic original clay piece by Roxanne Swentzell.  It is entitled “Ocassion”.  It is one of the iconic clay figures by Roxanne.  Here the figure is holding a clay vase.  The vase is filled with flowers.  The figure sits with her feet extended and her hands cradle the jar. The jar has carved designs on the rim.  Check out the detail in the face, hands, feet, and hair!  Roxanne at her best.  This figure is signed “ROX” and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It was also made into a bronze in the early 2000s.  The last photos are of this piece in bronze in contrast to the original clay.  Roxanne is able to achieve such a sense of emotion in the faces of her figures!
