This is a classic incised bowl by Juan Tafoya.  The piece is round and fully polished.  It is from 1991. The piece has an incised avanyu encircling the piece.  There is a single piece of turquoise for the eye of the avanyu.  The bowl was fired red.  The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Juan Tafoya”.  It is in excellent good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
