This is a classic bowl Juan Tafoya.  It is from 1984.  The bowl is coil-built and it is fully polished. It was painted with 20 wide feathers as the design.  The bowl was fired to a glassy black coloration.  The wide feathers allow the highly polished surface to show through!  The bowl is signed in the clay on the bottom, “Juan Tafoya”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
