This seddpot by Ray Tafoya is from 1980. It is an earlier piece of his pottery. The piece is fully polished and etched on one side.  There is a katsina figure with a headdress and a star on the front.  The piece was fired black and then two-toned sienna over the figure.  It is an exceptional early in piece in terms of design.  The seedpot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom with his hallmark which is a White Mountain (his name in Tewa).
