This seedpot by Ray Tafoya is fully polished and tall in shape. It has a Mudhead Katsina and a Pueblo scene etched into the clay. On the opposite side is a bear track design. Next to the Mudhead is a single inset piece of turquoise hei-shi bead. The designs are etched into the clay and highlighted with additional colors of clay slips. All the different colors are derived from natural clay slips. The seedpot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is signed on the bottom with his hallmark, which means “White Mountain” in Tewa.
