This is a striking carved melon jar by Linda Tafoya.  It is narrow at the base and rounded at the top.  It has sixteen carved melon swirls that extend from the rim to the base.  They have a sharp edge and each rib is fully polished.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the bottom, “Linda Tafoya-Oyenque”.
