This small bowl by Linda Tafoya-Sanchez is deeply carved and highly polished.  The bowl has a deeply carved avanyu (water serpent) encircling the piece.  Note how the style of her avanyu is very similar to that of her father, Lee Tafoya (note the square head on the avanyu).  It is highly polished and fired a deep black.  It is signed on the back, “Linda Tafoya”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
