Michelle Tapia-Browning is a daughter of noted potter LuAnn Tafoya and a sister of Daryl Whitegeese. While she is better known for her photography and woodworking, she is also a gifted potter.  This bowl is coil-built, carved, stone polished, and traditionally fired. The bowl is carved with a rain, lightning, and mesa design.  It is a classic design of the Tafoya family.  Note the depth of the carving on the piece!  It is signed on the bottom,  “Michelle Tapia-Browning”.
