Teller, Robin -Mudhead Storyteller Scene with Eight Figures (1990s)

Robin Teller (b. 1954) is a daughter of noted potter Stella Teller.  This is one of her classic figurative pieces. There is a large mudhead clown with a drum on a clay “blanket.”  Next to the mudhead are seven children.  They are each doing something different, from playing to reading or eating bread.  Each figure is attached to the clay base. They are all painted with clay slips.  It is a charming piece and creative in design.  It is signed on the bottom, “Robin Teller”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
