Robin Teller (b. 1954) is a daughter of noted potter Stella Teller. This is one of her classic storyteller figures. Her pieces were always creative in the stories they told. This piece has the mother holding six children each with a squirrel! The children are holding acorns for the squirrels. She is holding a large basket with corn and acorns in the center. On her shawl is a sun design on one side, and butterflies on the other side. It is a complex and charming piece. The storyteller is painted with native clay slips. The storyteller signed on the bottom, “Robin Teller”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
