Stella Teller (b. 1929) is one of the great names in contemporary Isleta Pueblo pottery. This is one of her classic vessels from 1978.  The piece is coil-built and then fully polished white.  The top of the shoulder is painted with feather and rain designs.  The rim is slipped with red clay.  The jar is signed on the bottom, “Stella Teller”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
