Stella Teller (b. 1929) is one of the great names in contemporary Isleta Pueblo pottery. This is one of her classic jars.  It is oval in shape and polished tan.  The front is painted with matte clay slips.  There is a mesa and feather pattern along with a single inset piece of turquoise.  It is signed on the bottom, “Stella Teller”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
