Stella Teller (b. 1929) is one of the great names in contemporary Isleta Pueblo pottery. This is one of her classic storyteller figures. It is a combination of her brown, white, and gray clay colors. The woman is wearing a dress and holding a painted rug. The two children are under the rug and one has a sheep. Check out the detail on the dress and the rug! She is wearing a turquoise hei-shi necklace. The figure is signed on the bottom, “Stella Teller”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
