Elvis Torres is known for his traditional style of pottery.  Elvis Torres is the great-great-grandson of noted potter Tonita Pena and his great-grandmother was Isabel Pena Martinez. His mother is Philipita Torres. This bowl is round and painted black-on-black with an avanyu. The water serpent encircles the bowl around the neck of the piece.  Near the base is a painted spider.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Elivs “Tsee-Pin” Torres.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
