2.5"w x 2"h

$ 250.00

Candace Tse-Pe Martinez (b. 1968) is a daughter of Dora Tse-Pe and Tse-Pe Gonzales and a granddaughter of Rose Gonzales.  She is a sister of Jennifer Tse-Pe and Irene Tse-Pe.  This small jar is from 1994, making her 26 when she made the piece.  The bowl is coil-built and has an asymmetric opening.  The outside is fully polished. The bowl was fired a classic red coloration.  The front has an inset multi-color stone.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Candace Martinez”.  While she no longer makes pottery, it is a charming piece of Pueblo history!
