Dora Tse-Pe learned to make pottery from her mother-in-law, Rose Gonzales. She was renowned for her beautifully formed and highly polished pottery. This is one of her classic bears. It is highly polished and fired a glassy black coloration. The bear is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Dora Tse-Pe”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.

Description
Dora Tse-Pe learned to make pottery from her mother-in-law, Rose Gonzales. She is renowned for her beautifully formed and highly polished pottery. This is one of her classic bears. It is highly polished black and has sienna in the center of the back. There is a single inset piece of turquoise. The bear is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Dora”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. While Dora no longer make any pottery, her work remains a classic for her polishing and designs.
