Tso, Jr., Damon – Large Open Bowl with Rain Design Rim

7.75"w x 3.5"h

$ 475.00

Damon Tso, Jr., is a self-taught potter.  He began making pottery in 2003 and each piece is hand-built and made from native clay that he sources from near his home in Buffalo Springs, New Mexico.  This open bowl is a classic Navajo shape.  It has a round shoulder and a sloping side.   Around the outer rim is a raised design that is incised with a rain pattern.  The bowl was traditionally fired and then covered with pinon-pitch after the firing.   It is signed, “Damon Tso, Jr.” on the bottom.
