Tso, Jr., Damon – Open Bowl with Rope Design Rim, Ribbon
6"w x 3"h
$ 400.00
Damon Tso, Jr., is a self-taught potter. He began making pottery in 2003 and each piece is hand-built and made from native clay that he sources from near his home in Buffalo Springs, New Mexico. This open bowl is a classic Navajo shape. It has sloping sides and is polished on the inside and outside. Around the outer rim is a raised “rope” design that is incised. The bowl was traditionally fired and then covered with pinon-pitch after the firing. It is signed, “Damon Tso, Jr.” on the bottom. There is a second-place ribbon from the 2023 Gallup Ceremonials.
