Sandra Victorino is a niece of noted potter Dorothy Torivio.    Sandra has her own unique style of “op-art”, where the patterns start small, then get larger, and then smaller again on the vessel.  This seedpot has her classic “flower” design painted starting at the top with the red design blossom.  There are smaller flowers that get larger and smaller by rows from the rim to the base.  They are surrounded by fine-line designs.  The precision and detail of the lines are exceptional on this seedpot.  The piece has a visually striking appearance with complex imagery and an exceptional connection of form and design.  It is signed, “Sandra Victorino”.
