Tim Vigil is a son of noted potter Minnie Vigil.  In the 1980s he created his polychrome pottery, as did his sisters Bernattte and Annette.  This bowl is round in shape and painted before it was fired.  The bowl has clouds and feathers as the design.  There is a lid with a cloud design that sits into the top of the bowl. The piece has SIX different colors of clay, making it a true polychrome.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the bottom, “Sunbird”.   Tim’s aunts are potters Gloria Garcia (Goldenrod), Lois Guiterrez, and Thelma Talachy.  His grandmother was Petra Gutierrez and his great-grandmother was Pasqualita Gutierrez.
