Tim Vigil is the son of noted potter Minnie Vigil.  In the 1980s he created his polychrome pottery, as did his sisters Bernattte and Annette.  This jar has a round shoulder and an elongated neck.  It is painted with a cloud pattern around the shoulder.  The is an additional cloud design on the inside rim.  The jar is all matte and there are four different colors of clay on the piece!  The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom, “Sunbird”.   Tim’s aunts are potters Gloria Garcia (Goldenrod), Lois Guiterrez, and Thelma Talachy.  His grandmother was Petra Gutierrez and his great-grandmother was Pasqualita Gutierrez.
