Georgia Vigil-Toya (b. 1966) learned to make pottery from her grandmother, Reyes S. Toya.  Her sisters Lorraine Chinana, Ida Yepa, and aunt Clara Gachupin are noted potters.  This jar is coil-built and polished with a blue-gray clay slip.  It is etched with an avanyu around the top of the shoulder and feathers on the neck.  There is an additional red clay as part of the design.  It is highly detailed for the size.  It is signed, “G. Vigil-Toya and the jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
