Kenneth White and Irene White are known for their distinctive Navajo pottery. Each piece is coil-built, then after it has dried, it is carved, painted, and fired. This bowl is one of their larger pieces. There are large Lightning Yei figures with a smaller Thunder Yei in the center. Separating them are corn plants. Along the rim of the bowl are feathers. After the bowl was traditionally fired, it was covered in pinon pitch. The bowl is from 1999 and it is signed, “KW”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
