$ 700.00

Alvina Yepa (b. 1954) learned to make pottery from her mother, Felipita Nonche Yepa.  She began making pottery in the 1980’s and, in 1987, won First Place and Best of Division for her pottery at Santa Fe Indian Market.  This large bowl is round in shape with a flat top. The top is carved with eight half-circle clouds.  The entire piece is fully polished. The rim has etched clouds.  The body of the jar has large etched butterflies.  They are separated by etched flowers.  It is a complex and dynamic design. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Alvina Yepa”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
