$ 275.00

Alvina Yepa (b. 1954) learned to make pottery from her mother, Felipita Nonche Yepa.  She began making pottery in the 1980’s and in 1987 won First Place and Best of Division for her pottery at Santa Fe Indian Market.  This melon jar has 17 straight ribs.  Each rib is symmetrical and fully polished. The opening on the jar is square.  The result is a striking appearance to the piece.  The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Alvina Yepa”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
