Emma Yeppa (b. 1965) is known for her carved and polished pottery. She began making pottery at age 13 under the guidance of her mother, Ida Yepa.  She is a cousin of Marcella Yepa and a niece of Alvina Yepa.  This jar is coil built, carved and stone polished.  There are 12 ribs extending down from the neck to the base.  The entire piece is fully polished tan, the natural color of the clay.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Emma Yepa”.
