Lawrence Yepa (b. 1948) is a grandson of Louisa Fragua Toledo, a son of Felapita Yepa, and a brother of Alvina Yepa.  He leanred to make pottery from his mother.  This seedpot is coil-built and polished tan, the natural color of the clay. One side is carved with melon ribs in the shape of a rainbow.  The sides have sgraffito corn plants. The side opposite the rainbow has etched lightning designs.  The piece is signed on the bottom, “L. Yepa”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
