Marcella Yepa (b. 1964) is known for her carved and polished pottery.  She is a cousin of Emma Yepa and learned to make pottery from her aunt, Alvina Yepa. This bowl has twelve carved, swirling melon ribs.  Each rib is deeply carved into the clay.  Six are polished red and six are polished tan (the natural color of the clay).   It is signed on the bottom, “Marcella Yepa”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
