Marcella Yepa (b. 1964) is known for her carved and polished pottery.  She is a cousin of Emma Yepa and learned to make pottery from her aunt, Alvina Yepa. This is a classic jar with a round body and an elongated neck.  There are two melon ribs that swirl from the neck to the base.  They are polished red.  The remainder of the jar is polished tan (the natural color of the clay).   It is signed on the bottom, “Marcella Yepa”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
