This miniature is part of a series created by Nancy Youngblood of her “micro-minis”.  They are miniature versions of her larger vessels.  Each piece is coil built, carved, stone polished, and traditionally fired.  This is a “taller” jar with eight straight ribs carved into the clay.  The entire piece, including the neck, is fully polished and fired a deep black.  It is remarkable how she can do this on such a small surface!  The piece signed on the bottom in the clay “Nancy Y.”.  It is from 2021.
