This is an exceptional miniature by Nancy Youngblood.  There are sixteen ribs, each deeply carved into the clay. They swirl around from the rim to the base of the bowl.  Each rib is narrow and they are compact for the size.  Each rib is individually polished.  Nancy has a particular stone that allows her to polish so deeply and the piece has a glassy surface.  Look at the piece from the top down and the ribs spiral out, perfectly catching the light.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Nancy Youngblood”.  While it may be a small piece, it is certainly the classic style of this renowned artist.
